Message The 300 has Hyd Lifters.. and will self adjust. The Machine Shop should have kept the Valve Dimensions about the same when grinding the various surfaces.. so the adjusters do not actually have far to move..
HOWEVER.. is possable ( not Likely ) the shop took one valve seat too deep, and the adjuster can't compress that far..

1) Get the Intake and Cam Covers off ( Yea!)
2) Turn the motor so the offending Cam Lobe is pointing up
3) See if you can run a 0.002 feeler gauge between the lifter and the Cam..

If it goes, then the valve is seated.. the head must come off you have a Bad Valve or seat
If it does not go, then IF YOUR LUCKY you might be able to change out the lifter and get it to close

My Crystal Ball is not looking good on this one..
